Joe goes climbing!
Sunday Joe went climbing for the first time with me, Stephan and Cara (a girl in Jan's old lab). Even though it was cloudy, the weather was nice up at Pierre du Moëllé. Cara had her GPS with her, so now we know that where we were climbing is exactly 1833m, which is over a mile high! If you want to see all of the pictures, follow this link.

This is true: "Sunday Joe went climbing for the first time with me, Stephan and Cara". This is not: "... Joe went climbing for the first time..." I only point this out due to the alacrity with which I attacked the wall. I just don't get it though, why take a harder route when the goal is to get to the top? It's not really a physical challenge if the only reason you can get up is due to the tackiness of your shoes on harder routes... try going barefoot and then I'll accept the size of your package. That's like bungee jumping from 200m and then 300m; is there really a point? That all said, I enjoyed myself and will go again.
